Much like its sister pub, The Loft, The Salon is a vast, deco-stylish watering hole perfect for those girly nights out in the West End.
Their extensive cocktail menu is pricey, but tasty too, and on Thursdays cocktails are a mere £2. The weekday 'Seven Deadly Sins' drinks promotion is also worth a look for a cheap deal or two.
If you're feeling peckish, The Salon provides all the usual posh pub grub, including - it has to be said - one of the best burgers in Glasgow.
The venue also showcases live bands at the weekend, Tuesday salsa classes and many more promotions.
Like many Social Animal pubs across Scotland, you probably won't find an unforgettable atmosphere in The Salon, but with pretty surroundings, plentiful booze and good hearty grub, you can always just add friends and create it yourself.

I went to this restaurant on Valentine's night, traditionally the night when even the best restaurants crack under the pressure. However, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and neither were we left too long between courses or rushed out of the door.I highly recommend this place, especially as my desert was to die for. Also, it was a set menu as it was such a busy night, but you would hardly notice as the menu was still broad and varied. The atmospheere is amazing considering the amount of space in this old building. With such a wide expanse of floor and high ceilings it could have felt cold andopen. However, by creating a booth-like impression with screens the managemnet have made this huge space feel intimate and perfect for a romantic night out. There is still a lot of light though, due to the materials used, so the restaurant maintains a young and vibrant atmosphere.
